Decor House Moments Life

Weekend // On My List

It’s a cold, snowy weekend ahead in Chicago and with the hubby heading out East to bask in Super Bowl glory (providing the Seahawks win), that leaves me home, with a car and a head filled with all kinds of creative projects I plan on tackling.  Plan On being the operative phrase.  We shall see.  At any rate, when the hubby is away, the wifey will play…and shop…and redecorate…and clean…

Here’s what’s on the docket for me while saying prayers that the Seahawks win on Sunday!  Who are you rooting for?

I hope you all have a great weekend.  TGIF, right?!

Yoga.  I will be vinyasa flowing for sure this weekend. After the work week I have had, my body and mind and soul need this.  And no, this isn’t a picture of me (shocking, I know).  I am going to be lucky to touch my toes.  {Image Source // Back On Pointe}

Girls night, obv.  However, our girls night will be a little different than this beautiful picture depicts.  It will likely be yoga points vs. tulle skirts.  No makeup.  We will probably pass on throwing glitter and instead, focus on sipping some wine.  {Image Source // The Glitter Guide}

Home improvements.  Of course, Rick – um, most men – thinks our house is perfect.  For me, it’s always a work-in-progress.  And the one project I really need to do is get a new kitchen rug.  Why?  Not because I am being frivolous.  But, because over Thanksgiving, I spilled around 10 gallons of turkey brine all over the rug.  It became crusty and gross and yes, it’s still in my kitchen.  So, here I come, FLOR!  FLOR is my absolute favorite rug company (as outlined here in a dedicated blog post) and a perfect creative outlet for an otherwise dreary, snowy weekend in Chicago.  I am so excited!  {Image Source // The Design Pages}

Proverbs 3

Prayer.  Lots going on personally and professionally and I am reminded that I need to slow down and spend some time with God.  I will be praying, heading to church and spending some time in my bible. {Image Source // Creative Story Tree}

And of course, working on my Valentine’s Day cards.  I plan on hopping over to Paper Source and spending some time with a glue gun and stickers and going all kindergarten.  Who wouldn’t want to do that? {Image Source // Paper Source}

And I’m sure I will clean out the kitchen cabinets and blog and go on Pinterest for like 14 hours and watch the Super Bowl and get caught up on work and maybe even treat myself to a mani pedi.  Ahhhh, weekends…
